Adventure
Camp:
Designed for the active camper that does not want to be tunnelled into a
specific theme or sport. A typical day at camp would include; outside
play, crafts, organized gym games, wii room, and swimming
Sports Camps:
These camps are for the
active camper that enjoys playing sports in a non-threatening environment.
Each week there is a different sport theme explored. Campers partake in our
unique camper cup series, skill development, tournament play and a very
exciting camper leader game. Swimming and weekly field trips are also part
of this camp. Each week scouting reports are completed by the staff to give
you a small picture of what your child has done at camp.
Krafty
Kidz:
If you love crafting, this camp is for you! While the main focus of
activity is on making crafts, campers partake in weekly field trips, daily
swimming and special events. A typical day would have your little ones
crafting in the morning, swimming just after lunch and then returning to the
craft room to finish crafts.
Minecraft PE:
During Minecraft PE we explore the world of minecraft through a tablet that
is connected to a local network. Campers can connect to a server that
has been developed by one of their friends at camp. Please note that campers
need their own device to participate in this camp.
Yugioh
TCG Camp:
Explore the World of Yugioh TCG®. Find out where it all began with Yugi,
Kaiba and Joey. Learn to play the popular card game, create new monsters,
spells and traps. Bring your own Yugioh® trading cards and get involved in
our daily tournaments.
Pokemon Camp:
The world of Pokemon® is a special place where children can explore, create
new friendships and learn to work in larger groups.
Bring
your own Pokemon® trading cards if you would like to show off your skills as
you battle for power in your voyage through the world of Pokemon®!
Superheroes:
Explore the world of superheroes, become your favourite superhero. Learn
how to be a superhero at home, in school and on the playground. Make
crafts, play games and have fun in this theme based camp.
Movie Makers:
Movie Makers gives campers the opportunity to explore their creative side in
a different way! Claymation, Legomation, still pictures and more are
created by young campers. Using the very basic Windows Movie Maker we teach
your child how to be a young director.
Young
Scientists:
Want to get down to business and make a mess? Well at our ‘Young
Scientists’ camp we allow you to make a mess and love to do it. Make goo,
explore the universe or make your own science game.
Young Chef’s
Cooking & Crafts:
We love to cook at MC Day Camp and this camp is your you if you love to cook
and eat. We make a large number of recipes that allow campers to be self
sufficient at home. Recipes are easy to follow and have little clean-up.
Recipe books, weekly report cards and crafts are part of the weekly fun.
Magic Camp:
Designed and
implemented by Lofty the Magician (www.lofty.ca), this camp favourite has
been the choice of many young magicians over the years. Campers learn
tricks that can be used at home or at school to amaze! Campers are engaged
in morning workshops and practice their tricks after our daily swim.
Digital
Photography:
Learn how to make great shots using a simple digital camera. Select your
best pictures and display them for the rest of camp to see. Each day you
will venture into Port credit to take pictures of different places, people
and things!
Creative Arts
Camp & Crafts:
A unique combination of dance, drama and crafts. Each week campers participate in
role playing, dance, crafts and a play production that can be seen on Fridays.
Eco Raiders
Camp:
Make your own bug or worm habitat, go on outings to the Rattray Marsh
Conservation Area, the Lake Front Promenade and learn about special
environmental concerns. A typical day would include a group walk, indoor
activities, daily swimming and a large group craft such as an ant farm!
Young Peoples Drama & Craft Camp:
This camp is for the true drama enthusiast. A huge production, such as
‘Harry Potter,’ ‘Peter Pan’ or ‘Robin Hood’ is adapted, practiced and
presented on Friday afternoons. We also do some crafts that are
related to the theme of the play. World of
Lego:
Lego, Lego, Lego! Build different structures throughout the week to assist
in the development of a true Lego world!
Work in teams to complete group projects and of course have fun. In
the Lego Mania portion of camp we always have lots of Lego to build your
favourite things, such as an airplane, spaceship or just a house. NOTE:
All camp selections are not available during all sessions.

find specific information regarding camps at MC Day Camp. Please remember
that all costs (including field trips and barbeque Fridays) are included in
the weekly fees, with the exception of the lunch program that is available
from Monday to Thursday.
MHL Floor Hockey Camp:
Campers participate in a week long floor hockey tournament which involves a
showcase, draft, tournament skills clinic and awards.
World Cup of Soccer:
Campers participate in a week long soccer tournament
which involves a showcase, draft, tournament, skills clinic and awards.
Six Pack Multi Sports:
Each day of camp,
campers develop their own schedule by picking the sports that we play.
Sports include, soccer, flag football, ball hockey, badminton, cricket and
more.
